Great hosted visit with knowledgable enthusiastic guides and great exhibits. Friendly and involving with well maintained real steam engines. A must see!!

Interesting visit but check times for steaming before going if you want to see it in action. Still worth a look even when not working if old Victorian engineering and architecture is your thing

Lovely building and quite interesting to walk around. Really makes you feel how it would have been when fully operational and carrying out an important local function

My 12 year old declared it - awesome. I don't think he realised he'd had a physics lesson delivered by knowledgeable volunteer guides. Lots to see and to learn.
