The trust that runs this place have done an excellent job in preserving these two huge beam engines which used to pump the town's sewage to the Monkmoor sewage works. The building still does this albeit with modern electric pumps. The brass work is immaculate...More

My 12 year old declared it - awesome. I don't think he realised he'd had a physics lesson delivered by knowledgeable volunteer guides. Lots to see and to learn.
