The quarry is a stunning area of parkland. With the river, loads of open lawn, the beautiful Dingle, the playpark, swimming pool and bandstand, there is plenty to do. An ice cream van is usually found near the playpark too, which is useful. Take a...More

I was really looking forward to going as it looked lovely and from the snatched glances I could see it probably is BUT it said it was accessible. Only wheelchair Olympians could defend the steep ways in let alone get back up again. Real shame....More

Popped in the week after the flower show so there were a lot of people in the park dismantling marquees. But The Quarry is always stunning with the river alongside and The Dingle looked beautiful.

As always the garden was superb. Full of colour and totally transformed from the week before, not to say it was not worth a visit then. Well worth a visit and it is free!

We visited The Quarry at the time of the Shrewsbury Flower Show. It turned out to be a day of showers, some thundery. Even so, it was a good day. Nothing stopped the band playing or the shows from running. The garden exhibits were good...More

I'm sorry I didn't notice disabled parking facilities but there are double yellows a lot. I know that doesn't always mean you can park. There is good walking on the flat and there are places to sit.
