I never miss going into the Quarry garden - it is just fabulous and a credit to the staff who carefully look after it. It is set in a wonderful park bordered by the River Severn and right on the edge of our town

This spot was recommended by locals so we put it on our list of places to visit. We had also downloaded a treasure trail and this was where some of the clues were hidden. The gardens are beautiful and are a haven of peace and...More

Visited 'The Dingle' situated at the top of the quarry. The flowers and garden are well worth visiting.

Beautiful, peaceful, colourful, stunning, memorable. Older readers will remember television's first 'celebrity gardener', Percy Thrower. He was the Head Gardener here at The Dingle garden in The Quarry/Quarry Park alongside the River Severn. This is also the showground for Shrewsbury Flower Show each year in...More

Such a tranquil place, beautifully planted by the late, great Percy Thrower, and so colourful. A wonderful way to just kick back and relax in total peace, surrounded by nature’s finest flowers and insects. Look for the satues and sculptures hidden amongst the plants and...More

Great place for a quiet walk and close to the city centre. You can walk round the back of the buildings to Wyle Cop and see lots of interesting places including hidden gardens with lots of fig trees! Maybe Darwin walked the same paths sometimes?

I'm sorry I didn't notice disabled parking facilities but there are double yellows a lot. I know that doesn't always mean you can park. There is good walking on the flat and there are places to sit.
