- Tom BChesterfield, United Kingdom951 contributionsLovely Park IndeedOver 200 hundred acres of variety. Great walks with hard surface paths. There are lakes and streams. Farm and a cafe. Good parking. Had a great couple of hours here. The cafe is only doing take away pending refurbishment.Visited January 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 January 2024
- Amber72977 contributionsFamily day tripWe go regularly to graves park to see the animals that are well cared for and go to the park and cafe. Lovely atmosphere will be a lot nicer when the cafe is finished. Easter bunny was there for Easter Sunday to do an egg hunt.Visited March 2024Travelled with familyWritten 1 April 2024
- tinylassSheffield, United Kingdom5,819 contributionsLovely large areaWe live close by but hadn't been for a few years so took our Nieces this week. Parking is £1 an hour or £4 for all day but the car park is not that big so can be an issue. The farm is free to enter and has a wide range of animals and you can buy feed for £1.50 a bag. There is a large playground although this can get very busy. There is plenty of green space and paths to wander around and a big lake with ducks and birds everywhere. You can easily pass quite a few hours here but it can get very busy.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 8 August 2024

I'd forgotten how much I love it here. The toddler and I had a fantastic time exploring and saying hi to all the animals. Every one we encountered was friendly and helpful. The cafe was open to takeaway but rather expensive I felt, two snacks and one hot drink being £8+. The playground is lovely with lots for little ones. Would visit again.

So let's talk what there is here. An animal farm, free to enter. Plenty of animals to see and food you can buy to feed them, when it's available.
The staff work very hard to improve and maintain the animal farm and it shows.
There is a very large park to walk around or picnic on and bbqs are authorised. There is a large duck pond and a big play park for the kids.
There is a cafe on site and public toilet access.
Parking is far from ample and if you can get public transport I would recommend it.

Graves Park is a lovely place buts it’s over run with rats. We visited the kids play area where 2/3 rats were running around even with loads of noisy kids playing. We then went to the animal farm area and to be honest that was disgusting. Rats were climbing in with the rabbits and guinea pigs and nesting in with the birds. Must have seen 30/40 rats on today’s visit, such a shame cause it’s a class place.

nNot really worth travelling to if your not that local- but saying that it is a large park with lots to explore.
Free parking roadside. cafe ' toilets 'park ' all the things you need for a good day out.
we walked round about an hour but its a lot bigger if you wish.
staff in the cafe was brill - shame about the toilets not being open due to the covid 19 virus.
All in all worth it if your localish.

Living so close to Graves Park, i can.definitely vouch that it's a great place with the main attractions being the animal farm, the pitch & putt, the tennis courts or the Park Cafe.
There are lots of great walks around the park and it's a great space to visit, vast in size with lots of nooks & crannies, there are a number of entry points from Chesterfield Rd & Hemsworth Rd / Derbyshire Lane.

Excellent! I've been coming here for years but haven't visited in a long time - great facilities, the animals are happy and well looked after and its so easy to get your steps in as the walks are great and varied.
No children with us this time but the whole place has something for everyone and access is good for pushchairs, wheelchairs, bikes, scooters, people with walking aids, etc, etc.
Still doesn't disappoint even though we were just a party of adults today with no kids :)

Been here before pre-COVID. But been back again recently.
Rose Garden cafe is nice but takes ages to get served due to restrictions.
Duck ponds are OK but look a bit clogged up.
Quite hilly, so be aware if you are with people who struggle walking up hills like I did.
Plenty of benches to sit down on on though.

First visit (we're moving to Sheffield soon) and - wow - what a beautiful park in pleasant surroundings. Ponds, a rose garden, a nice cafe, children's activities and a marvellous farm with free entry. There's also Norton Church nearby, with shopping down Woodseats and at the St James Retail Park. First visit, not the last - the children loved all the animals in the farm and in the fields, and the ducks on the ponds. Bliss.
