If nice gardens are your thing then this Sheffield icon is the thing for you, a large park with lots of flowers, worth a visit especially in the Spring and Summer.

Spontaneous visit since it's not too far from York. Really loved the place on a sunny day at least. Hoping to go back again soon this summer with my picnic gear this time.

The weather was grim but we had a lovely stroll around the gardens. I'm sure that our next visit...which will probably be late spring...will find plenty more to look at. An added bonus was an abundance of remarkably tame squirrels. Very pleasant
