I made a special effort to come here at about 1.30pm but the church itself was closed. I think the café was open but the sign on the church door indicated it may have shut at 1pm. Most churches in Reading seem to be left...More

A wonderful sense of a truly ancient church, you are welcomed by the attendants with interest. Check out the strange walnut trees in the precinct that are not really walnuts.

Recently went for the carol service with partner and parents. Nice atmosphere and not too long service. Hot drinks and food after with friendly people serving.

Greyfriars holds some of the best services in the area; there are both modern and contemporary services which should suit all tastes. Could not recommend this church more highly.

Did not actually visit the Church, but the attached Christian Bookshop. Slightly disappointing, although I did buy a few books, their choice of books is somewhat limited.

This church dates back over 700 years and is another of those that have been forced to change their use to that of a youth and conference centre to make better use of the real estate. There is a coffee shop in the church grounds.
