Very good selection of beers and ales in this CAMRA listed pub. We just stopped for one pint and i could've stayed for many more but had to get home. Will definitely come back.

Proper old pub good selection ales and cider. CAMRA listed and some really good music playing, unfortunately I was unable to sit outside due to clamp downs by police in Reading centre

Before suffering the misery which is watching Sunderland, we had a stroll around some of Reading’s historic commercial properties and visited this little gem. It is a fantastic pub. Numerous real ales on, quirky layout and full of people. As for the music, TWO UFO...More

Popped in for a late pint on Friday night. Good selection of beers served by passionate and friendly staff with a good eye for banter. Great seating options for cosy or group. Atmosphere and privacy well matched. Enjoyable venue.

I like real pubs without musice etc but that this place just did not do it for me. It was late lunchtime and there was no atmosphere, people looked surly and unfriendly. Toilets were awful

I am here trying a dark beer with Spanish friends and a lot English old men. This is a very old place the oldest at Reading. The atmosphere is nice and the theme amazing.
