You can spend a half day here with your children as this museum has lots of attractions for small kids. Also has a good garden with some chickens. The entrance is free.

What a real gem. Both enjoyed the free parking, free entry (although donations appreciated) and spent a good 3 hours wandering around absorbing all of the fabulous finds that we all too easily forget about when surrounded in the modern day lifestyle. Would return.

Called here by chance, and it turned out to be a delight. There’s something for children, their parents and their grandparents. The museum explains a bygone life where most people lived and worked a rural life on the land. There are displays, exhibits, recreations and...More

A fascinating museum, lots and lots of exhibits in a modern setting, generally well displayed, but very little information about what anything actually is! probably set up for children mainly. Really enjoyed the short films! You'll need at least a couple of hours.

Very well kept museum. Informative and interesting exhibits. Winter treasure trail and summer treasure trail to keep the kids occupied. Visited on a weekend so parking was not a problem.

Thank you for visiting and for taking the time to write a review. We're glad you found the museum interesting. We regularly change our family trails, though the rat trail has become a firm favourite and a permanent fixture!
