I was at the O2 Academy on the 14th September to see Molotov Jukebox. Great Band, great atmosphere, good time had by all. However drinks prices at the Academy extortionate, City prices plus some and some again!! Thank goodness for the free drinking water as...More

Went here to see Gary Numan and Adam Ant very good acoustics in here and very loud. The venue is situated in the middle of town. I would advise not going in your car as parking is not very good. If your going here do...More

I’m reviewing gigs, live music briefly. Downstairs in a dark, long narrow room. Ceiling is low. Difficult to do lighting. Difficult to see if pass the entrance door. The sound, light people seem to close the stage. Roughly 1000. Maybe slightly hundred more. Bar expensive. Staff...More

Have visited a couple of times to see our daughter perform here. What a horrible venue. It’s long overdue a deep clean and refurbishment. It looks dismal from the outside - inside is worse. The loos are disgraceful. The bar’s ridiculously expensive. What’s more the...More

Visited a couple of weeks ago to see Space . Great gig only spoilt by disgusting toilets with broken cubicles and no paper . Surely these things are check before opening ?

We just loved Alabama 3 Friday and this venue is a perfect site to see fairly well known acts in a medium sized forum. Close enough to see faces of those playing with speakers that make the base sounds vibrate from your hair to your...More

Nice small/intimate venue. Fairly central too. The downsides? Extortionate drink prices, nearly £5 for a can of Carlsberg! Having to wait for ten minutes at the bar while a member of staff cleaned, instead of served. Annihilated toilets. Oh... And the fat-headed, humourless doorman who...More

I go here for gigs a lot. However, the prices are outrageous.... £4.80 for a CAN of carlsberg. Not even a full pint. Also the staff kick you out as soon as it ends. If you want to go draw some money out to buy...More

Been to several gigs at O2 academy Oxford but we never learn. The Sherlocks gave a great performance - love them - but they were really let down by the sound. The levels on everything were way out and it was painful. There was an...More

I’ve been going to see bands here since I was 14 (I’m now 20). I’ve never had any trouble but i would suggest maybe picking them up from the car park behind Tesco because the buses aren’t that regular from Cowley road
