Built into sandstone cliffs beneath the castle this is a unique pub. As a pub the food and drinks are excellent; the beer is well looked after and reasonably priced.

Oldest pub in England. Just got to soak up the trogladite (cavw dweller) vibe. Sip great beer in a pub that is built into sand stone. Play hoop and hook. Don't leave Nottingham without visiting the Trip.

Certainly worth the visit to see one of the pubs claiming to be the oldest in the UK. Built into the cliff under the castle a real warren of rooms and areas. Good beers and nice looking food.

I'm sorry, Neil, I was on foot so I don't know. The employees at the pub were incredibly helpful though and I'm sure they would be more than happy to help if you called. Amy
