Decent enough lunch with a beer in a lovely historic setting. I've eaten here a few times and would do so again.

I highly rate this pub as a drinking establishment and as a tourist stop off. It’s a lovely historical building well worth visiting. On a sunny day it’s lovely to sit outside and just generally look around at everything. Well worth coming here.

This is a great little inn kinda off the beaten track, but well worth the visit, great selection of beers and gin and a lovely inside and outside places to sit and eat, and it’s right under the castle steeped in history.

Stumbled across this accidentally while visiting the Nottingham Castle. Great old pub/inn. Has some wonderful history, friendly staff, very coll little rooms to explore, fun stories about a long time curse and while we didn't have a meal, the meals we saw being dished up...More

We stopped here for a quick drink, was a beautiful day and it was heaving with people, extremely small serving bar and not many staff, but a lovely old pub and I enjoyed my cider once I got it!

Drinking an excellent range of beers, in a cave!! Why wouldn't you? There is a reasonable space outside if the weather is good. I've not tried the food, so can't comment on that but there have always been first rate cask ales available.

The interiors are really nice... (take a tour before choosing a spot to sit. I have always preferred sitting upstairs). The food is pretty decent - particularly the buffalo chicken and the sharing boards. The staff are a nice bunch and they tend to reflect...More

I'm sorry, Neil, I was on foot so I don't know. The employees at the pub were incredibly helpful though and I'm sure they would be more than happy to help if you called. Amy

I can I just add to anyone interested that this isn't the pub that's goth! I got them mixed up. However saying that, this pub was totally unique and well worth a visit especially for its historic background. We didn't eat... More
