Beautiful castle and grounds, and lovely museum with a fascinating collection. The Ghosts of Nottingham tour was amazing journey into England’s past- I was reeling with the depth of knowledge that Mark, our tour guide, had to offer (and enjoyed his sense of humour, keeping...More

Visited the castle today and went on one of the cave tours, we got more value than what we expected. Not only did we go in to the caves but also a dungeon, and were educated on the history of the castle and caves by...More

Came to the castle today whilst children at school. Went on the cave tour led by Mark. Small group which was great. Mark gave us lots of interesting information, was engaging and humorous. Brilliant to see some of Nottinghams vast network of caves and hear...More

Lots to see and learn here. History buff or not it's a great venue, hence why the annual October beer festival is also hostedhere. Lovely setting with great veins over the city. Not like your regular 'castle', great to be included with anyway out in...More

Centrally located this castle is worth a visit. But do t expect and actual castle. The walls are there and a rather lovely house in the gorgeous grounds. It’s nice wandering around the outside perimeter looking up with a cold pint in your hands from...More

We have visited many castles during our UK holiday This one is different in that it is probably more of a history/art museum than a genuine castle. Staff at the ticket box weren't overly friendly. The activites and things to see inside the castle weren't...More

First I should say minimal castle structure remains - it has been replaced by a large house built by the cavendish family. The museum traces the history of Nottingham and has an art gallery. I recommend paying 5 pounds more for the caves tour -...More

So this was £8 to get in and the grounds were pleasant enough, the ‘castle’ is actually a house as the old castle is long gone. There is some nice art work inside if you’re into that sort of thing. The views are amazing. There...More

Had a wonderful tour - our guide was excellent and gave many interesting & informative stories. The floor is very uneven in places and there are about 300 steps so sensible shoes are a must. Well worth a visit.
