Highly recommended but £5 per person is a bit much. Also, if you are "getting on" a bit, like me, you may want to think carefully whether you do the tower climb. It is 275 steps and there are no resting places on the way...More

Great view but not much else for the princely sum of 6 funds per adult. Unless you have a York pass I would give it a miss

It was worth climbing the spiral staircase to see the amazing views from top. Loved every minute of it.

The climb is pretty much stop start so there are rest breaks on the way up. Great views at the top. Worth the £5.00

275 steps, spiral staircase, very few windows on the way, but well worth it for the stunning views. There are not many places to stop, if you need a rest, and the last stint of stairs numbers 150+ so be prepared to puff and pant...More

Hate heights but no way was I visiting the minster and not going up...oh yes, a must. So much fun when I got over myself.
