Overview
More
Hebden Tea Company is a small business specialising in quality teas from around the world offering one of the largest ranges of teas available anywhere. Our drive to provide such a wide and dynamic selection stems in part from our heritage. Hebden Tea first opened its doors in 2010, nestled in the picturesque valley setting of Hebden Bridge. This Yorkshire town has long been known for its artistic vibrancy and its lively independent spirit; as Hebden Tea matured, it was infused with the bohemian atmosphere of Hebden Bridge. This gave Hebden Tea a distinct, energetic flavour, and continues to influence the values which our business upholds. For instance, wherever possible we make every effort to purchase tea directly from the growers; this allows us not only ensure the quality of our teas, but to pass on our savings to you. We are dedicated to supporting small grassroots suppliers, and sourcing our products from those as enthusiastic about tea as we are. For this reason, many of our teas are exclusive to Hebden Tea and cannot be found anywhere else. Since its first opening, the shop has gone from strength to strength, but has maintained its independent spirit. We relocated to the historic York Shambles in 2011, where we continue to source the freshest flavours from around the world.

Popped in with my partner while having a wander round. Explained to the gentleman what I liked (Earl Grey and Lapsang Suchong) and he immediately suggested a beautiful blend of citrusy and bergamot Earl Grey. Have yet to try it, but his knowledge (quoting 195...More

We live in York and so the shambles can be a little bit crowded and touristy at weekends. One reason we always walk down though is to try the free samples of tea outside Hebden tea. It’s such a lovely idea and the teapots of...More

I'm more of a coffee drinker than a tea fan (sorry) but I still like visiting this little shop. The smells are lovely and the tea samples are good too. I find it a great place to buy gifts for other people.

Perfect for tea lovers, SO much choice! I would definitely recommend going with a lot of time if you're someone who likes to smell and browse around. Personal favourite was the cashew! Loved the fact there was a window from the outside for samples, and...More

Visited this lovely little tea shop today and just had to leave a review. The wonderful lady in the shop couldn’t have been more helpful, she was polite and friendly, brilliant customer service. The products they stock are something really different. Well worth a visit!!
