Tried this pub for our final ale in York as we had accommodation near by. Firstly the old boy who served me was as miserable as sin, I asked if he had any porters or stouts and he had the ignorance to point to hobgoblin....More

Just visited the minster for the first time in a few years and thoroughly enjoyed it as much as the last time. Don't expect frills This is a Traditional pub.

Brilliant! Loved it! Landlady was very friendly - beers were excellent. We bought some home made chocolate brownie cake to take home- it was scrumptious! There was a blazing coal fire in the bar. Loved the whole thing!

An almost quant pub that will take you back a few years. We went with our teenagers and two dogs. There were allowed in the two main bar areas which are quite small. Both a little threadbare. And the loos are in the yard. So...More
