A lesson in chocolate manufacture, although York has now lost its historical leading manufacturers through changing times. The chocolate 'story' takes you through the development from almost pre historic times with samples! You even get to make your own to take away.

The whole experience was brilliant. Our tour guide Pedro was very knowledgeable and made the tour more enjoyable with his jokes. The tour is very interactive and takes you through the history surrounding York's famous chocolate companies and the process of making chocolate. We were...More

I took my 7 year old grandson during half term and he absolutely loved it. Karl did our guided tour and he was really knowledgeable and made it all really interesting. My grandson wasn’t bored with any of it. It was very interactive and lots...More

Worth a visit when in York. £12.50 entry fee but you get a few samples and our guide, Pedro was excellent.

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that our customer service did not meet our usual high standards on this occasion. All our staff were briefed on the residents offer we have on in November, so I can only apologise for this...More

Staff were in the main really good, knowledgeable and friendly. One or two free samples. More would have been better. A wee treat to create your own lolly. Value was ok. Loos stinky.

Admittedly we did hesitate at the price - but it was worth it we thought. I would suggest they slow down the tour and make it less 'scripted' but what they offer is very interesting, very entertaining and you do get to try several different...More

In all honestly I did enjoy the tour and learnt about the local history and local history of chocolate, However the whole experience felt pretty rushed from start to finish and the price of £12.50 each I feel is over the odds for the tour.

This attraction is very expensive for what you get. The tour lasts for one hour and it literally is listening to a guide talking about the history of chocolate, whilst taking you around different rooms! Within these rooms you don’t see any chocolate being made,...More

We bought tickets for this while we were in NZ & thought that we would see Terry's Chocolate Orange in Production, Not to be. The Chocolate Story is well presented & it explains the History of Chocolate through the Ages until now. It was very...More

Per person. You don’t pay for the parking. Just pay the driver for a return ticket per person when you board.
