Stopped off here for a drink as my colleague likes the real ales. It is ok for a drink this is how pubs used to be.

One of our favourites to visit in York. Staff always friendly. Good choice of local ales. Gets busy on a weekend. Live music during the week.

Has a nice selection of cask beers including ones from York Brewery. A good example of what most pubs were like before they were all spruced up and started selling food. Worth a visit.
