Helpful hint: that long line is people waiting for the elevator to go up the tower, when what you want to do is go down the steps next to it, to the “under Croft.” There you will find some interesting Roman relics, and Viking relics,...More

After a number of years we returned to the Minster, this time with our Teenage Grandson. Having a fear of heights I continued refreshing my mind on the splendour of the Minster while the males hit the steps to take in the surrounding views. Great...More

Cannot say enough about how much I loved our trip to the Minster. It is visually stunning! Huge inside and there is so much to see and appreciate. Our guide was excellent, I wish I knew her name to give her the recognition she deserves....More

Beautiful! We did the 275 steps of the tower which was hard going but worth the climb. Amazing views. Staff friendly and helpful. 😺

This is my second visit to the Minster and I’d go back again without hesitation. Magnificent, breathtaking, you pick the superlative and it won’t do it justice. You can spend hours wandering and reading plaques and enjoying the art of centuries, but joining a tour...More

This cathedral is awesome, especially when you consider that it took 250 years to complete. There is a "holy air" sense to these grand old cathedrals.
