Off the beaten track hence usually pretty quiet very peaceful, spacious gardens close to the river. An excellent cafe overlooking the gardens is a bonus.

Rowntree Park is a beautiful park with something for everyone! There are tennis courts, a skateboard park, and a lake with ducks who will come to visit you because they assume you have something to eat for them in your pocket. Feeding them, of course,...More

Beautiful and well-kept park. Not as messy or smelly as when I previousy visited as the geese were limited to the little lake instead of walking all over the footpaths! Pity I picked a bad weather day!

The park is well kept, very pretty with lots to do for young and old. You can go for a leisurely walk around the lake or play games on the swing park, there is basket ball and much more. There is even fresh herbs growing...More

A tribute to the Yorkshire folk from Mr Rowntree and IT IS AMAZING-Beautifully kept and tranquil although a stones throw from the city's hustle and bustle. Definitely time here for relaxation and contemplation.

A good sized park just to the south of the city walls, with performance areas, tennis courts, a playground, and even a cafe/library.

I don't think this a question, more of a statement. And having used toilets in India, I doubt Rooftrees Park can hold a candle to those, you had to hold your breath while using them. Still it is not what I would expect to... More
