Access to this tiny museum was challenging and the information wasn't as clear as it could be. The film is long for such a small space (not much room to sit) and our kids got fed up whilst we tried to watch. There is a...More
We happened upon this as we were walking the wall. With our trusty York pass, we entered this tiny but informative attraction.

We went and I found it very interesting. It spent time on the Richard III and the Princes story. There is a 30 minute video that is worth watching. It is probably a good idea to read a little before you go or you might...More
The Richard III museum is great place to go and learn about the history of Richard III. It explains who Richard III was and what did during his two year reign as king. It explains about the history of both the houses of York and...More
I knew nothing about Richard III until I stumbled across this while walking the wall around York. I loved it! I'm a history fan and love learning something new, especially about the medieval period, which is why I was vacationing in York.

Thank you for your question.
Each Bar Wall Experience can take around 35-45mins to explore. We have the Richard III Experience at Monk Bar and the Henry VII Experience at Micklegate Bar, both which are included in your admission ticket. You then have the walk on the city walls from one to the other, taking in the sights of York Minster on the way, so the whole visit can up to and over 2 hours or so.
More information on the city walls can be found on our website.
We look forward to welcoming you soon.
