First time visit to both these experiences.Richard the third had fantastic displays and videos to watch. Henry the seventh had costumes to dress up in. Both were very enjoyable and well worth a visit. Get the £20 pass and you also get entry to the...More

We were disappointed when we visited this 'attraction'. There was a suit of armour and a video worth watching but very little else. York itself, teeming with history, appears to make little of it's controversial king. Which makes me wonder why there was so much...More

This is a must for anyone interested in Richard III/Yorkist history. It's very small, but I enjoyed how it was located inside one of York's historic gates. The video about the battle of Towton was especially interesting.

Pre-booked Knight School online and were delighted to discover that our daughters had an individual session with brilliant instructor. They learnt all about different ways of knightly fighting and their dad got to wield a mighty sword, so everyone was happy! Would thoroughly recommend visiting...More

Access to this tiny museum was challenging and the information wasn't as clear as it could be. The film is long for such a small space (not much room to sit) and our kids got fed up whilst we tried to watch. There is a...More

We happened upon this as we were walking the wall. With our trusty York pass, we entered this tiny but informative attraction. Climbing tiny, narrow stone stairs helped create a sense of interest as we learned about Richard III. The weapons and armor were interesting...More

We went and I found it very interesting. It spent time on the Richard III and the Princes story. There is a 30 minute video that is worth watching. It is probably a good idea to read a little before you go or you might...More
