A proper pub with staff who actually care about what they do and always provide service with a smile! The best selection of booze you could ever ask for. Also…a great pork pie!

Proper backstreet local pub with an amazing array of ales and cider, 12 ale pumps at visit, 20 on gravity behind and 19 real ciders available, kept well, competitive pricing, well worth the 15 mins walk from the city centre.

This is a pub - a proper pub as pubs were, and as they are meant to be! It is all about the beer and I cannot fault it. Even if you stuck to half-pints, you could not sample all the ales in the Fat...More

A bit like a beer festival in a pub. HUGE range of beer and ciders. Almost too much choice. Buzzy atmosphere, young old well dressed and less so. A great happy mix of people. Staff helpful and cheery despite being very busy.
