I visited just before lunch on a wednesday. The entrance was filled with children painting and looked to be having fun. The art exhibition was on two floors and in two main rooms. Not quite to my taste and interest. It is free so I...More

I love art galleries, but I don't know who is in charge of this place but the art is not great, wouldn't recommend this for tourists really. They need to visit the galleries in London to see how it SHOULD be done.

Visited MIMA today for first time. Really impressed. Thought provoking exhibitions (you could probably spend between one and two hours on them) and great cafe - excellent food (recommend the very tasty salads, quiche, frittata, scones...!) and well priced. Staff very friendly too.

I went there yesterday just for a walk round, what an amazing building. This really does improve things in Middlersbrough. Great place to go.

Difficult to enjoy the experience when I feel like I'm being stalked by staff whilst I'm having a look around... lessons in customer service are needed.

I read the not so complimentary reviews for this museum and almost did not visit. However, I popped in for half an hour and wished I had allowed more time. It was most relaxing. A nice enough gift shop. Interesting modern art - I including...More
