not so great in structure...it is dwarfed by the Tower Bridge... London Bridge really doesn't stand out at all in the city.

Nothing special to this bridge other than the name. You get a good view of the Thames but the bridge itself ..... there are no special distinctions between other bridges. If you feel you need to see it ... then go see it. It'll take...More

I too thought that the Tower Bridge was THE London Bridge. Possibly due nursery Rhymes. London bride is falling down. Oh well lesson learnt. Don’t believe everything you read 😉

For more than 3 decades I was under the belief that the Tower Bridge is the London Bridge because as a kid my nursery Rhyme book showed the picture of the Tower Bridge and the poem read as - "London Bridge is falling down, falling...More

A lot of people think that Tower Bridge Bridge is actually London Bridge...it’s not. London bridge is a very boring looking and unassuming bridge. Really not much to see. If you take a Thames River cruise, you will most likely get pass this bridge and...More

although in name it's one of the most famous bridges in the world, in reality it's quite mundane, there are far nicer bridges in London least of all the Tower Bridge which is a little further down stream

London Bridge is a good point to cross the Thames on foot for a nice view of the city and Tower Bridge in particular.

London Bridge is one of those places that has iconic status, but truth be told the history of this bridge and it’s predecessors is far more interesting and impressive that the 1973 concrete and steel structure, which in reality is a fairly dull and unimpressive...More

If you are expecting something special, this bridge is not it. A little downstream on the Thames is the Tower Bridge which is special. You can walk a little ways down stream and see where the previous London Bridge was (it is now in Arizona)....More

We can view tower bridge from this location. Those views are taken at London bridge. As nothing note worthy is there at London bridge. This is simple bridge only. Your concern is correct but still we don't have choice.
