Called into here on a recent trip to London. Wow it is huge, in fact I think there were 6 floors to this Waterstones store. Well worth a visit when looking for a special book.

Housed in the old Simpson’s of Piccadilly building, this well-known, national bookstore offers several floors of books, stationery, greetings cards and cafes. However, the overall impression is rather unexciting, the books predictably displayed and the cafe small with limited seating. Expected more to be honest.

It is a perfect place to get away from bustling Cutty Sark which is full of tourists. Very nice coffee, delicious pastries, great atmosphere!

6 levels of books. My kids (15, 13, 11, 10) went there 4 times during our 8 days in London. Well worth a look if you love books!

What a creative little hub, a peaceful getaway where one can learn and grow just by browsing their hand selected books laying out to grab your interest. I bought a huge book, an English classic, which would be harder to find in an American bookstore....More

And to my mind, this is one of the best bookstores in London. I go to the one on Gower Street near Bloomsbury and can spend the better part of the day just browsing. The great thing about this bookstore is that it has nooks...More

Always love a visit to Waterstones although I must admit I usually read the titles of the best sellers then buy the audiobook in iTunes :-)
