I live locally, and absolutely adore the Lido on a hot day (as we have had particularly recently - I managed to slot in two lunchtime swims there this week). The pool itself is lovely and well maintained, and the building old school and authentic...More

Okay. I'm not as tough as the poms, I admit it right now. I came to London in November 2018, with my wetsuit, dead keen to swim the whole 2 weeks I was here in Parliament Hill Lido - unheated, but such a beautiful place,...More

Hi Michael, We're sorry you found it a hard going! Cold water swimming is tricky even for us natives. Almost everyone you'll see swimming here at this time of year will have been here throughout autumn if not the whole year, which means they'll have...More

Had a great time at this pool in the hot summer this year. Went twice with my 6 year old and her friends. We are huge fans and will come back again next summer.

I visited here a few weeks ago when the weather was very hot. The bins were overflowing, so much so that ice cream wrappers had blown into the pool. When I mentioned this to one of the attendants, she merely said "there is another bin...More

This pool is awesome, without kids before 09.30. It has this huge stainless steel bottom to bring it up to modern times and a nice if pricey cafe but that’s about it. However had to deduct three stars as the changing rooms, toilets and showers...More

Pretty expensive entrance cost. Impressive sized pool with a little slide for the kids, and a tiny kiddy pool. Despite the heatwave London was having, the water was pretty cold. Also a small cafe with snacks and ice creams.

Quite apart from the pool which is a lovely (unheated) temperature, the nice length (60 meters) and the shiny bottom, the staff - and notably Maxine - are lovely. Locals will know that early morning swims are the best. Very convenient to the Gospel Oaks...More

No not really it’s a sun trap there...if you sit by the cafe area they have umbrellas there but you can take your own umbrella if you wish.
