Winston Churchill was very important man in Britain. He did so much good for the allies during WW2. The story is he never wanted to have a statue because birds would crap on it.

Unveiled in 1973 this statue bears a very good likeness to Sir Winston Churchill and stands at an impressive 12 feet tall (3.7 m). It's a shame that some people have defaced it a few times in the past but it's a very good memorial...More

Impressive and very well done statue of Churchill. Instantly recognisable as the man himself and in a prime location close to Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament. Worth a passing visit if you're nearby.

This status of Winston Churchill Statue in Parliament Square has been there since 1973. He was Prime Minister from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955. He is considered one of the 20th century's most significant figures, but not with some considerable controversy...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
