Really liked this Nicholsons pub. I am a native Londoner and could not fault the place on drink food or service. Also a lot less crowded than other pubs in and around London Bridge (which i put down to its hidden location under the bridge).

Ambled in after watching a performance of Romeo and Juliet at Shakespeare's Globe. Great authentic pub food coupled with chilled lager. Highly recommend their pork sausage with honey mustard sauce served with mashed potatoes and caramelised onions!

Ate here for a lunchtime - sat outside very pleasant. However long wait for food to be served and then the fish was not cooked properly. Replacement offered so chose scampi instead - this too was inedible. Every piece was wet and pink. Daughter had...More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some

browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
