I dropped into The Duke of Clarence somewhat by chance having wandered past and then returned after my target gastropub was over crowded. A Sunday night and on my own, this pub was a true oasis. Quirky but homely decor, a good collection of beers...More

This was a nice pub - well stocked with a variety of drinks, clean tables and toilets, and pleasant staff. Was sorely tempted by the scotch eggs and sausage rolls on the bar, but didn't succumb!

Great pub, well located, good beers and very good bar snacks. A definite staple, the sausage rolls are brilliant. Chatty staff, very much a repeat visit pub.

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's

such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
