Looking for a great Sunday roast, this pub should be able to deliver. Two roast pork with crackling and all the fixings were ordered. It is clear that virtually everything on my monster portion plate was made hours before and was just sitting under a...More

a bit of a disaster at lunch....while the mistakes were later corrected by management, we were served some overcooked fries (quasi burned) and very sad looking burgers (iceberg lettuce, tiny burger and minimal cheese, no bacon).

The Duke of Clarence was recommended to me by Adriana at the Ibis London earl's Court Hotel. She said it was the best Gastropub around and she nailed it. It is a short walk from the hotel and has a beautiful comfortable interior. We stopped...More

Called in here looking for the football as it was recommended by another pub that didn't have TV's. The pub appeared quite upmarket with a nice woody interior and a good number of reserved tables. It was early but there were a few people watching...More

This pub was recommended by our hotel concierge when we asked about pubs in the area. Good food, good drinks for our first night in London. Not too crowded, but it was a Monday night. Watched the soccer game on the TV while we ate.

We were invited for a Get Together of young ones who were once upon a time at school and have stuck together. It was an opportunity for me to interact with successful Baby Boomers. Drinks a plenty and food too. It was a pleasant evening.

Highly recommend this lovely pub and its food. A very good feel to the place and very nicely furnished. Great selection of beers and wine and the menu is going to please everyone. I’ll certainly use this place when I’m in the area next.

I dropped into The Duke of Clarence somewhat by chance having wandered past and then returned after my target gastropub was over crowded. A Sunday night and on my own, this pub was a true oasis. Quirky but homely decor, a good collection of beers...More

We went recently to the refurbished Duke of Clarence with a friend who is a foodie and we were very impressed as was she with the new menu- we shared the sharing plates - chicken waffles, ox cheeks, lamb ribs and black pudding croquettes. Delicious...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
