This is reasonably local to me and the food is passable for overpriced pub grub in Chelsea. The problem is that the service is so bad that it spoils the experience. The place is chronically understaffed and the attending staff are under trained. Expect to...More
We visited The Phoenix as a group of 13 for our Christmas get together. We were so impressed with the service, especially given the size of the group! Iliana was our main server on the night and she did a wonderful job - she was...More
Great visit, great food, great staff, great find.
Overall great! 😛
Shortly going to go back as this was just what you want in a pub. Just of the main road so not too packed. Atmosphere is warm and friendly. The staff are good too...More
If you want to eat good food and then chill for a while, this is the place. We took full advantage of the whole place. We started at the restaurant in the back, then drank Pimms on side terrace, which is on a dead end...More
We went to the Phoenix recently and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Staff friendly though the poor barman was rather rushed of his feet for a while before he got help. We then decided to stay on for dinner and the burger and sausages were excellent...More
We rrecently had an extended lunch at the Phoenix. It's in a quiet street away from the general hubbub. Meals and staff were excellent, and the pub has a friendly, comfortable ambience.
A great spot to catch up with friends if you're in the area.
Stopped at The Phoenix for a Sunday lunch for two and was very impressed. Welcoming, stylish and one of the best pub lunches I've had in ages - lemony turbot with asparagus - really delicious, served by cheery professional staff - good one!
In the Geronimo Inns stable, which is an arm of Young & Co Brewery (which was bought up by Charles Wells). As such the house beers are pretty average, but it does stock a few more interesting guests.
We liked the furnishings and ambience. Prices...More
Food here is not consistent. Far too hit and miss guess they don't have a regular chef. Good location and when the food does arrive some is very good such as bangers and mash. Seafood is good also but not regular. Pity as a cracking...More
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal
a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
