I was here last Saturday after visiting some Christmas markets. It was very busy. However it felt neither overcrowded or too noisy. Seems to be quite a popular spot for families. It was also dog friendly ( I do not have dog, but appreciate places...More

Great local Peckham pub. Great atmosphere, bohemian in a good way. Local beers, warm welcome and pretty good food too. Live jazz on a Sunday lunchtime a real treat. All in all, it's become a local favourite.

Had two very well-made Bloody Marys, two tasty roast beef sandwiches- made perfectly- and very nice staff. Liked a lot.

I visit at least one Sunday a month for Sunday lunch. The best in Peckham for a Sunday roast. Pleasant staff too

Good beer in traditional pub. Pretty basic decor but obviously popular with people from the posh end of Peckham.

I am surprised by the low score on here! I was in The Montpelier last week and found it to have an excellent atmosphere, be very welcoming, warm, cosy, cool and with a good bar. What more could you want? I didn't have anything to...More

Had v disappointing dinner here last night. Fewer than half of main course menu options were available (3 out of 7 I think) so 5 of us had fish n chips & one had the last available pie). Chips were few and undercooked. Fish was...More

I really like the Mont. The drinks are reasonable, it has a decent atmosphere and it's conveniently located. However, last week, for the first time, we ordered the food. I've had some bad pub meals in the past, including ordering a roast dinner in Liverpool...More
