We visited this charming pub last Sunday. Menu was simple, roast beef or roast lamb. It was superb, beautifully cooked medium rare beef and excellent parsnips, carrots and roast potatoes. All for £12.50! A good selection of well kept beers, again at very reasonable prices....More

All very relaxed here and no jobsworth issue when arriving really a minute or two after closing time, which I respected. The community feel comes through. I don't mind it looking a bit down at heel inside as it is how most suburban pubs were....More

This is the third time I'm writing a review for The Ivy House. This time it is mostly a result to a reasonable response I got from the manager and also a recent visit. I had a high opinion about this establishment for some years...More

Attended on Good Friday evening accompanying musicians playing a gig at the venue that night. What a marvelous place. Smallish bar to the front, large venue room behind this, complete with stage and it's own bar, larger room to the rear-side also with it's own...More

Don't judge a book by its cover... Passed this place for years and was put off by the exterior. But venture in and you're taken in to a wonderful friendly local, serving a huge range of beers and gastro grub.

Dropped in with a group on Sunday afternoon for a welcome beer on a warm day. What a place! Gorgeous decor, huge choice of drinks including craft beer, ale, cider etc. There was a barbecue cooking out the front and people chilling in the garden...More
