Appalling service, we were a large group who were treated in a really hostile manner by the rude management who were miffed that there were more of us than originally planned. They were more concerned with the customers that hadnt arrived yet than looking after...More

We have visited many times over the past eighteen months but feel the food is going downhill recently. The last three times have been disappointing. Sunday roast tasted like it had been heated from frozen and the baked Camembert (my previous favourite) has tasted odd...More

The pub crammed in far too many people for Sunday lunch - making it uncomfortable and unpleasant. Having booked over a month in advance, I was surprised to be seated in the back in an uncharacterful room leading to the toilets. Despite having pre-arranged provisions...More

We had beef roast and it was excellent! they give you quite a big portion and meat was absolutely tender. Best around this area I think. Also inside is very cosy and great ambience.

The Hemingway has some mixed reviews; in my experience the bad ones are undeserved. This is a little-known East London gem that's worth the walk or bus from the nearest tube. It's a fine gastropub; go with friends for a loud, big open bar serving...More

It's a fab pub in Hackney. The food is great & the little outdoor terrace is fun. Beautifully set-up indoors! Go, if you are in the neighbourhood next to Victoria Park.

Nice English pub with taxidermy on the walls. Had the Beef to share on a Sunday. Absolutely unbeatable
