Well worth dropping into this calming cemetery which sits in the heart of the city. Perhaps not the safest place as there are some rough looking people prowling about. My understanding is there are some famous people buried here. I always find it surreal to...More

This cemetery is calm, beautiful and very well looked-after. It has a long walkway in the middle, trees on either side form a protective feeling as you walk down - almost like an umbrella above you head. A £6.2 million pounds refurbishment has revitalised areas....More

In a busy and built up part of London, this is a lovely green oasis. The site is 39 acres. Just next to West Brompton underground station. As you enter the North Lodge there is a very pleasant cafe, with toilets. The memorials are very...More

Another important cemetery to visit. We had filmed while at college in the grounds. We had an absolutely wonderful time yet back then it was more safe. Revisiting the grounds again after decades it is still the same, peaceful and quiet. It is always the...More

I spent today at the cemetery with a friend looking at the Commonwealth War Graves. It was bucketing down with rain so there weren't very many people around. Perhaps that's why we didn't feel particularly safe. Things started off well with tea in the North...More

I have been to two of the other Seven Cemeterys and this is the one that is most unkept and quiet. There are official dog walking routes and these paths were quite busy but when you go off these you are on your own. Saw...More

Having already visited Highgate I was interested in visiting seeing another of the Magnificent Seven and due to the proximity of public transport(West Brompton train station is literally round the corner) I decided on this one. I'm glad I did. Fantastic funerary architecture alongside gravestones...More

There is no fee to pay to walk around the cemetery. It is unusual in that it is both a place for burials and a public park.
