This is a great place to visit, tours can be booked but there are free tours as well. Discovered accidentally during building works, part of the ampitheatre has been preserved under the guildhall. There's a beautiful art gallery as well. This is well worth a...More

Located within/under the Guild Hall in London you can enter for free and go down to the basement to see what remains of this old Roman Amphitheater. The are is not large, but the display is interesting with highlighting.

I've visited the gallery before and am never dissappointed. I saw fantastic works of art not seen on previous visits and of course the amphitheatre still moves me when I walk into that darkened room. A fantastic place to visit in the City of London...More

This is a very small exhibit and probably not worth a special trip, but it is free and the gallery upstairs is pretty too. If you are walking nearby certainly pop in, but probably not worth a special trip if your time is limited.

London's Roman Amphitheatre - hidden all along, amazing history beneath the feet of modern day Londoners. The date from which the remains date back to is mind blowing. Great environment to imagine the feel, sounds, sights and smells of what we know would have taken...More
