This is a nice pub with a good "feel" and atmosphere. Also the Harvey's is a decent pint. I felt the food was average. We had the steak and kidney pudding . a salmon salad and the short rib of beef.

Just dropped into town of ramsgate for a quick drink after shopping. It combines appeal of old traditional pub with tourist welcome. Always people around but never too rammed. Food is classic but good. Definitely worth a stop if on the way along the river

We popped in here for lunch before heading off for a walk along the Thames. It was a freezing cold day but the pub was warm and cosy. We ordered burgers (although the carvery looked really tasty!) which proved to be a good choice. They...More

Visited whist walking the Thames Path. This is a lovely traditional pub in Wapping and was busy when we visited (around 18.00 on a Saturday). A great mix of customers, including locals (which says a lot) and even a couple of pirates!!. Good selection of...More

I'm not sure how or why I've not reviewed the TofG before as it's one of our regular haunts, but my guess is I might just have not wanted the pub too busy, too often as a result of a positive review! Situated in Wapping...More

Love the Town of Ramsgate, grew up in Wapping even worked there when I was younger. Popped in there on Saturday to meet friends and could not believe how awful the two bar staff were😬😬 Just missable and rude. But apart from them excellent pub

As with the majority of the pubs along the Thames Path this is a good one. It's the closest to Tower Bridge if you planning on walking the route to Canary Wharf. Good choice of beer and staff were very friendly. Only a short walk...More

I always plan to visit one historic dockland pub each time I visit London. This September I selected, “The Town of Ramsgate". I was unable to find when this tavern was first established, but the present building dates to 1758. I understand that this building...More
