We tried to use the bus system but were unable to find a good reliable map, hard copy, to show the route numbers. Miss your stop and outcomes google maps to find your way around. Just look around and see the number of tourists with...More

Like the Spitfire gets all the credit, rather than the equally valiant Hurricane, the Underground overshadows the marvellous bus system in London. Yes, it's much much slower, but you get to see the city, especially if seated on the upper deck, and it goes to...More

London’s buses must now surely be amongst the best in the world. Love the ease of use with City Mapper. Excellent value too and SO much better (and more healthy) than the tube.

London's famous buses are a convenient and effective means of transportation, but they are also a quick and affordable way to take in some of the city's sites. My partner has a connective tissue disorder that makes a lot of walking quite painful at the...More

We don’t often do touristy things in London, but with the sun shining, we decided to try a tour of some of London’s best-known landmarks - on an old-fashioned double decker Routemaster bus. The route of the number 15 bus goes from Trafalgar Square to...More

For a while it looked as if London's old route masters would be relegated to the bus lanes of history. But then along came the supersize Boris bus that looks like a modern replica of the original. Much more comfortable though, and a much cheaper...More

More than just means of transport. I did not take many because metro is always a better idea, still I will have a strong memory of them as a symbol.

A good alternative to the tube to get around London and if younget on the top deck you are treated to a scenic ride to. Signage makes it easy to plan your journeys using bus routes. A nice way to get around the city.

If you need some rest from walking but still wish to see some sights and street views, take the RV1 bus route from Nothing Hill gate station to Covent Garden (or vise versa). The route goes by some major attractions like Tower bridge and Burough...More

The tube is fast but the busses show you London and at a good pace. Find out where the stops are in advance and it’s the ways to travel. They are clean and I recommend the number 11 and 15 to take you across the...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are
