Belmont Childrens Farm is a small city farm in Mill Hill, North London. Belmont Childrens Farm’s mission is to open a farm for the local community to bring animal-based education, awareness and farming knowledge to londoners, and it seems to be working. It has already become a wildlife and farming hub for North London. Alongside the usual range of animals, the farm also boasts rare breeds and more exotic species including alpacas, rare poultry, reindeer, champion racehorses and snowy owls. Take a tractor tour around the farm to see the working side of the farm, animals grazing in the paddocks, racehorses training in the polo fields and the lush views of the beautiful, local countryside. Feel like you have stepped into a secret unspoilt location and not like you are in the middle of North London. Get up close and personal with the animals, feed and interact as you walk around the enclosures and during our daily 'petting sessions', 'lamb feeding sessions', 'sheep walking' and 'meet the cows'. The Waffle Cafe serves breakfast, lunch, snacks, ice cream and a full range of barista style coffee. They have a full menu of delicious choices with seasonal, local ingredients. Most of the meat and eggs served at The Waffle Cafe are from our own livestock and free-range hens. Many visitors come just for the cafe food! If you are looking for a lovely day out for you and the family, somewhere which is more educational, exciting, hands-on and very different to your average indoor activity centre or cinema, then this is the place to visit. We are open 7 days a week.

Took my grandkids there on Sunday who left totally disappointed as there were no tractor rides, as not enough people, and could not pet the animals as there was a private birthday party. Why take my money if you are not going to supply what...More

2 of the animals escaped scaring my daughter. The pens are too small. Not enough animals. Ok for small children but would be boring for older. Will not return

Have visited the farm on one previous occasion and found it to be very good for small children however our recent visit in july was quite disappointing. There didn't seem to be that many animals and were turned away from the petting area because a...More

My visit was wonderful. A lovely day, in the sunshine. The animals were well-cared for by friendly staff and the pulled pork, sausages and waffles in the cafe afterwards were divine (pork from the farm's pigs).

We went there to see horses but there were only two ponies. When we went inside, we were told that only the paid kids party inside were allowed to be there and brush them. The vegetarian burgers at the cafe were sour and tasteless and...More

We have several comparable city farms closer to us that are free of charge but made the trip to this one because it advertised the option to feed lambs by bottle. The two lambs were of course cute but a member of staff or volunteer...More

It's in North West London. Friendly staff. Washing areas and Hand sanitizer dispensers are there all over the farm. Children could stroke and pet little rabbits, rats and guinea pigs. Fascinating to see some exotic species of birds and other animals from all over the...More
