I came in at 6.30 on a nice warm summers evening , all of the windows were open and it was a nice chilled out feel.
I suspect it livens up somewhat on account of there being DJ decks in the bar but this time...More
We visited Friday 15 June and the doorman was super helpful and just an around top bloke
He handled the crowd kept it all pleasant, dealt with a few dodgy drunks but kept the entire atmosphere cool at the same time

We are happy you enjoyed your evening at the Verge! Hope to see you again soon in the near future.
A great bar where I often meet friends. Comfy seating, nice and bright and modern. The beer is good and varied and the wine is very drinkable. Very friendly staff. Handy for Shoreditch and Brick Lane sights.

I really like the Verge Bar. It's got great modern decor, a nice open feeling with large wide windows which are open in Summer. My experience is that it's not always overcrowded like the bars further down the street. This is one of my favourite...More
The wife and daughter were totally absorbed in their pursuit of browsing around the Brick Lane Sunday Markets. I tagged along for a while before adjourning to The Verge Bar for a beer and asked them to return for me when done .....
Been here with the missus a few times, and we both love it. She is really into French Martinis and says the bartenders make them very well!
Definitely come here on a Friday if you want to bar crawl around Shoreditch.
Went there with a friend on my way to Soho, I was welcomed by a French girl (from Boucau) very friendly, smiling, did a great job with the negronis we ordered. She was on her own at the bar but everything was organised and all...More
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about
Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
