I didn't realise this was the church of the RAF, until entering and finding an incredibly moving and interesting interior. Almost 900 squadron and unit badges made of Welsh slate are set into the floor, as is a memorial to Polish squadrons who flew with...More

This church is not very far from the tourism of London, and yet when I walked in I was completely alone for most of my visit. The people working inside were extremely welcoming, and taking some time in this church is so worth it. As...More

What an amazing interior for a church that was bombed and destroyed during WW2. Doesn't look any different to hundreds of other churches in London from the outside, but within it's more like a C17th Baroque style, tastefully done. The first thing that hits you...More

Imagine, one of the oldest churches in London, holding a place of honor for downed pilots. It is so reverential to these brave lads, not just Brits, but Americans, Poles, etc. I was truly awed.

Unfortunately there was a service going on when I visited. From the outside, it looks like a cute little church with statues of 2 important WW2 Royal Air Force Figures. Namely Arthur Harris and Hugh Dowding.
