Weren't here for meat, but just to gaze at the building. It really has the meat aroma to it! The architecture of the building is amazing - huge grand old steel work holding up a giant roof. Stunning structure.

My Grandfather and Uncle worked here for all of their lives. They experienced the comaraderie of the place through WW2 and well beyond. The old meets the new as the new museum for Londoners could be on part of this amazing old historical site. Opposite...More

Very fun to take a stroll through this historic meat market in the middle of the night. I recommend being there by 2 o’clock. If you are vegan or vegetarian this place is not for you.

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and

No it's not the kind of place you go to eat, try Borough market for that, this is more for your raw produce. Individuals can buy but mostly for trade buyers.
