This is a totally overlooked church, located just outside Covent garden. It's very easy to miss it, as its façade is anything but impressive. Still, it's worth a 5-minute visit.

Old church across from Covent Market. The day I went there was a charity event selling Christmas cards which were being sold inside. Had it not been for the event I may have never seen the relaxing area in back of the church or the...More

Located at one end of the Covent Garden piazza, this church is an absolute 'must see' for theatre and film lovers. The memorials on the walls read like a history of the acting, writing and directing profession, including Peter O'Toole, Dame Sybil Thorndike, Noel Coward,...More

Set in the heart of Covent Garden, the door you see from the market square is actually just painted onto the wall - the entrance is in a tranquil and unexpected courtyard just around the corner. We went to the church to see a production...More

This is the actors church. Inside is interesting, but the great fun is walking around it and looking at all the different actors who have now passed on. How many do you remember?

On a recent trip to London I discovered the "actors church" quite by accident and attended Sunday mass there. After mass I made the opportunity to view the memorials of stars of stage and screen and luminaries of London's West End theatre industry. The church...More

This is a pleasant church to visit, and a little difficult to get to, only because the front door is in the back of the structure (due to a strange decision by a seemingly irritated Bishop...). It contains wall plaques honoring many theatre people, including...More

The architecture is stunning, overwhelming and spellbinding. Sound devices add interesting dialogue. You need loads of solitary time to digest the many aspects. The feeling is quite spiritual. Time is best spent on the ground level as it feels more tangible. You then an climb...More
