Located a block from Piccadilly Circus, this Christopher Wren-designed church is a little gem. Significantly damaged in WWII, it has been restored. The Grinling Gibbons baptismal font and altarpiece are works in themselves and the stained glass is quite lovely. The church offers free lunchtime...More

This Christopher Wren designed church long before it became increasingly surrounded by shops and offices, explain it's seemingly odd places in the heart of Piccadilly. The stained glass windows are magnificent and the interiors arches are English Baroque in miniature. It can be quite dark...More

We stumbled onto St James's Church while strolling along in busy Piccadilly. The initial attraction/detraction was the market place in front. The church itself is quite beautiful and welcoming. Fabulous stained glass windows, high arched ceiling, columns and wood work. A serene and peaceful place.

Tucked away down Piccadilly, this little church is worth a look very well kept and peaceful inside as you would expect.

Despite the initial appearance of the market in it's grounds and the red brick, your breathe is taken away on entrance. What immediately takes your eyes is the striking barrel vaulted ceiling, the space and the light. Some amazing carving by Grinling Gibbons which is...More

St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII,
the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier
destination for high end craft and bespoke design.
Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which
indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the
establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during
a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s
Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing
