Really interesting small place with amazing carriages. Having visited the British Museum the day before it was great to visit somewhere which wasn't busy and no queues.

We love this place. As you would expect it is immaculately kept. Very helpful assistants. Fascinating exhibits.

Opens at 10am and entry is via an unassuming door round the left from the front of Buckingham Palace. Very good selection of state carriages including the fantastic golden state coach. Staff very friendly and willing to chat and offer information and answer questions. Usually...More

It cost around £10 for entrance, but I think it's included with the London pass. If you live locally it's worth getting your ticket stamped as you exit, as it will give you access to the museum for a whole year. The museum isn't huge,...More

This is a nice stop and doesn't take much time. It is the Royal Stables and where they house all of the Royal Carriages, which you can see up close, including the Queen's golden carriage. You can go at your own pace and take in...More

We used the London Pass for this and stayed almost 3 hours because the kids were allowed to play. There is a free audio guide that provided a lot of information and allowed you to go at your own pace. The carriages are amazing. The...More

We were pleasantly surprised by our visit to the Royal Mews. Reasonably priced, no crowd, and the guide gave us a wonderful description of the horses, carriages, and other vehicles. It was a highlight of our London visit and it is included in the London...More

Just round the corner from the bustle of Buckingham Palace, the mews are an oasis of calm in the centre of London. We did the free guided tour which was interesting and entertaining. You can get a combined ticket with other royal attractions and the...More

I am so glad that we took the time to tour the Royal Mews. We probably would not have, but my daughter rides horses and it was part of the London Pass. It is a site that is a bit of a hidden gem. The...More

If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a
grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to
start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster
Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square,
and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham
Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just
up the road as well. As captivating as the
architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are

The location is to the left of Buckingham Palace, towards Victoria. The entrance only allows you to the news and not the palace or Royal Gallery.

It's about the carriages that the royal horses pull. You might see some horses but it will be random. If you want to see horses, see the changing of the guard at horseguards parade. Lots of horses & much pomp & cremony.
