    Royal Gem

    Really interesting small place with amazing carriages. Having visited the British Museum the day before it was great to visit somewhere which wasn't busy and no queues.

    A hidden treasure at the back of Buckingham Palace

    We love this place. As you would expect it is immaculately kept. Very helpful assistants. Fascinating exhibits.

    The location is to the left of Buckingham Palace, towards Victoria. The entrance only allows you to the news and not the palace or Royal Gallery.

    As far as I'm aware it is only open in the summer months when the Queen is residing in Balmoral. July, August, September

    It's about the carriages that the royal horses pull. You might see some horses but it will be random. If you want to see horses, see the changing of the guard at horseguards parade. Lots of horses & much pomp & cremony.
