The Geffrye closed on 7 January 2018 for a transformational, two-year development. Although the main museum building, herb and period gardens are closed, there will still be plenty of reasons to come to the Geffrye. Throughout closure we will run a programme of events and activities in our front gardens. The restored almshouse will also be open for tours on certain dates throughout the year. This Christmas was the first time I've visited the Christmas installation. I love how the rooms are decorated appropriately for each era. We've decided to make this a family Christmas tradition once it reopens. Can't wait to see the transformation.More
