It said open every day - but we arrived around noon on a Tuesday and it was closed! Looked like nobody had been there in a while. Sad. I took pictures from the gate. I really wanted to see this!

This has been on my list of 'to visit' places for some time and was reminded of this when I visited the Foundling Museum recently. But while I got a warm welcome from the pleasant attendant, the few rooms open to the public were a...More

This is an interesting house, but much smaller than it looks for two reasons. Firstly, it is only one room deep, ie about 12 feet, with all the windows facing the front. Secondly, at present the upper floor is out of bounds for safety reasons,...More

Under renovation but still a really enjoyable experience. The young lady receiving guests to the house was incredibly helpful. She explained the funding and forthcoming renovation really well. The etchings and engravings were amazing. What a man!! An amazing draftsman - skillful, perceptive, and very...More
