Columbia Road flower market and shops are open every Sunday from 8am until about 3pm. As well as the market, there is also a mass of independent shops, selling everything from jewellery and vintage clothes, to antiques, cupcakes, art and furniture. Columbia Road is located in East London, in between Shoreditch and Bethnal Green, near to Brick Lane and Spitalfields.

This was the perfect Sunday morning outing on our recent visit to London. The walk from the nearest tube station offered a glimpse into a less touristy part of London. The market itself was already bustling with people out buying flowers as well as people,...More

Beautiful flowers and plants. Wished I could have thought of a way how to transport the snowdrops in plant pots home on the train to Glasgow. Stall holders had a sense of humour and gave advice on plant care. Got roses for my friend which...More

It’s a lovely little flower market. Open only on Sunday BUT it’s quite busy with tourists and local people trying to grab a bargain. In my view, flowers and plants can be overpriced there. The same can be bought cheaper in the local garden centres....More

Worth a visit if you’re in town on a Sunday. It will be busy, go early or late to avoid the squash. Good quality flowers and plants at a good price. Well frequented by locals. Good for a browse, as are the shops along this...More

Worth visiting to get beautiful flower and pots. Very busy on Sundays around midday. Try going around 1.45pm to 2pm to get discounted prices and bargain a little bit.

An incredible market but so crowded on a Sunday morning that it was difficult to buy. Both cut flowers and potted plants.

What I should have said is that it is not the flower market, it is the shops that are on Columbia Road. There was someone selling Christmas trees.
