What Makes It Special
The best British designer-makers market. The indoor market dates back to 1737, and is the only in London located on a World Heritage Site. The range of antiques and independent designs is even better when you arrive via Thames riverboat. Open Monday-Sunday 10am-5.30pm. Craft stalls: Mon, Wed and Fri-Sun. Antiques and collectibles: Tue, Thurs and Fri.

After visiting National Maritime museum went to visit Greenwich Market. Was expecting more but enjoyed the different stalls and the different food places. Someone was singing Jamaican songs while eating Brazilian choros

Went there for the second time after a year, loved the stalls selling all sort of interesting things ranging from art and crafts, clothes, decorations and food (yes lots of sweet stuff especially!). Enjoyed my time looking around - not a particular big area but...More

I have been visiting the market for years. It was eventually revamped and an outside area I believe designated for food stalls. Unfortunately the food stalls continue to encroach on the market area, and the day I visited it was almost half the market area....More

Greenwich Market is a nice quaint little market. There are plenty of food vendors that will give you a free sample. They are all fantastic, so it makes choosing one very difficult. The little crafts vendors are also cool. The tie stall was my personal...More

Just like most other markets really. Lots of food stalls, craft, jewellery, clothes. I even found a couple of early Christmas presents. For me the clothing was a bit on the expensive side but in London perhaps not? Easily reached on the 188 bus and...More

A great place to escape from central London with lovely craft stores and wonderful food, to eat in nearby Greenwich Park with amazing views over London. Get here by Thames Clipper take in the great shops, museums and parks nearby.

If visiting Greenwich, don't forget to have a browse around this wonderful market. There is normally some lovely street food to sample whilst looking around the various stalls. There are craft stalls, some selling t shirts, football memorabilia. Visit and enjoy!

Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the
very concept of global time was established at Royal
Observatory, just one of several buildings of
architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole
of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park
and a number of related buildings (and one world

Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a
