Very vibrant location for shopping eating and visiting. There is a tube station running into central london on the Victoria line, an amazing market with lots of Caribbean food stalls

Brixton is a buzzy, lively place to visit. I live in near by Herne Hill and have always shopped in Brixton. The restaurants are so diverse and most serve great food! The reputation some people have of Brixton as a scary place is most undeserved....More

Travel on down the road to the Victoria line’s southern stop. The neighborhood is a Mecca for the art, music and restaurant scene. Tip: Stroll through the side streets and be surprised by what you discover.

We are getting to see a lot of this neighbourhood since my wife’s son moved there with his girlfriend. Lots of interesting things to see and places to shop, eat & drink, but unfortunately it is let down by the dirty streets and litter. Some...More

Horrible service, the lady taking my orders is the worst. No smiling no caring what so ever. Margaret on the name tag I think. Anyways they also didn’t have 50% of what I wanted and there is no where saying it was sold out. I...More

It is enjoyable to visit local neighborhoods away from the more popular touristy areas. Brixton and the Brixton Market is an example. Few purses and leather goods here as found in other markets. The gem here is the people and the diverse ethnic mix bringing...More

Brixton is typically busy if you were to choose to visit for a few drinks in the evening. Its popularity has grown in recent years and more and more people seem to be ignoring some of the stigma commonly associated with the area. It’s very...More

Brixton is awesome! If Brooklyn and Harlem had a baby and raised it in London, it would be Brixton! I had the best time shopping for hair and beauty products I can’t find in the States, eating delicious Ghanaian and Jamaican food, buying African fabrics....More

This is a place that I especially recommend to visit in the evening for dinner. A great restaurant at low prices. This is a different London than the one you met from Oxford Street or Knighstbridge. In the past, Brixton was the home of newcomers...More
