Neighbourhood: Knightsbridge
When millions of tourists want to shop 'til they drop, they do it along Brompton Road and its boutique-lined tributaries, including the world-renowned Harrods. And when millionaires want to flaunt what they've already got, many of them find Knightsbridge and Belgravia the perfect place to do so, often behind stately mansion walls or down quiet private mews. Delve beyond the ultra-luxe exterior and you'll find some of this city's cosiest pubs, quiet gardens, and all sorts of indie retailers and enterprises worth a short exercise in spontaneous window shopping. For those looking to take a break from shopping, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, and some of the city's most popular museums are nearby.

    Fun shopping with exceptional food!
This iconic store is interesting to explore. It has many very high end stores to wonder through. My favorite part was the exceptional selection of food items to purchase/try. It was a delight and delicious. I found the prices to be reasonable as well. Recommended

    OMG!
When you think about London the first thing that comes to mind is shopping. London has some grand establishments that have had Royal Patronage for ages. One such business is Harrods. This iconic upmarket flagship department store is located on the Brompton Road. It was the brainchild of the 25 years old Charles Henry Harrod. He started with a small shop in 1834. He moved here in 1905. Now it is a London landmark covering more than 5 acres of land and having 1,000,000 square feet of shopping space. It is a major shopping destination now with nearly 100,000 people shopping here per day. In 1985 it was purchased by Mohamed Al-Fayed. Currently this elegant store has 330 departments including clothing, shoes, perfumes, makeup, cheeses. You ask for it and they have it. The service is amazing and the ambience is out of this world.

    Beautiful shops
Harrods is always an experience. I loved looking at the chocolate section. I wanted to find caramel milk chocolates but they didn’t have a selection box. Only issue there. The shops are all designer which is great if that’s what you’re into. I was specially looking for On running shoes which they didn’t have. Had to go to Selfridges instead.

    Service totally lets it down
Harrods is simply gorgeous and I always love walking around and treating myself to a few things whenever I visit. Today I felt let down by the service however. Visited the Louboutin store and the gentleman helping me was not great and was more interested in talking to the security man. Elderly lady in the couture section (quite a big sale with lots of lovely ballgowns) told me that the dress I wanted to try on was a size 12 and not an 8. After I realised this I said it would be too big and she gave me the most fake smile, took it from me and put it back without even asking me if I needed extra assistance. Shame, I was looking to spend quite a bit for the right dress. Lady at the buy/rental section didn’t acknowledge me whatsoever. The lady in the Tom Ford perfume department was lovely however, really enjoyed the service from her. Gorgeous place but the staff need to realise that they have no reason to be arrogant and pretentious when people are looking to spend their well earned money on stunning pieces.

Great shopping experience, polite and attentive staff. Lovely shopping experience. Will be visiting again soon.
Loved our trip to Harrods, staff were friendly and attentive. Items a reasonable price for luxury good in one of the worlds leading luxury stores. We bought items for the children that were very reasonably priced.

Harrods is a London Gem but Expensive!!
Beautiful Harrods with OUTRAGEOUS Prices in the food halls. First off I have always loved Harrods and it’s a must visit during a trip to London. It’s been years since I’d been there and while it was always expensive the current dining prices are obscene. I believe it was roughly 60-70 pounds to share fish and chips with two drinks. The same for a plate of pasta with a small half lobster tail. Everything was great and the staff and atmosphere are wonderful. Just know what you’re in for as far as pricing goes. We’ll be back but not as shocked next time.

    Extravagant Shopping
Delve into Harrod’s to see how the wealthy shop. From the Egyptian escalator, to the toy section, food halls and gift shop there is something for everyone. There is a dress code though. Visit in the evening so you can see it lit up.

    A Retail Shopper's Fantasyland
Harrods is one of the world's most recognisable brand names, and from what I could tell during about one hour of browsing (jewellery & fashion & fresh food products) they know how to sell their wares. Fortunately for our holiday budget, my wife & I had the willpower to restrict our purchases to the lower ground floor Arcade gift shop. But we can now say we've shopped at Harrods London, and that will bring us priceless bragging rights & leave us with good memories.

Need to offer a cheaper shopping bag alternative
Every London trip I enjoy a visit to Harrods. Normally the service is great, today not so much. I purchased a delicate Christmas decoration and a cuddly dog. My mom and sister also bought Christmas decorations the staff member asked if I wanted a bag, I said yes as we were heading to The Savoy for afternoon tea and didn’t want to travel by tube trying not to break a delicate ornament and dragging along a cuddly toy. I had heard the staff advise the reusable beige totes were £6 I advised I would like a bag but didn’t want a £6 tote, the staff member shrugged, said that’s all they had and I would have to carry the items. I asked if they had any green bags, they said no, I asked if other departments had them and was advised they do. I said I will go to another department to pay but was advised the items can only be purchased from those tills. I advised that wasn’t good enough an alternative cheaper bag should be available for purchase. The staff member didn’t advise me my total to pay and just ignored me and wrapped my decoration. I went to customer services who advised Harrods wants to be more sustainable and have removed green bags from the food hall, gift shop and Christmas world. I have advised they need to provide a much cheaper alternative alongside the tote. This could be a plain white recycled paper bag for a small fee of 20p it doesn’t have to have the Harrods logo but an alternative choice should be available. If you pop in to buy a £10 Christmas decoration you aren’t going to spend £6 on a beige tote, it’s not even the iconic green! My sister purchased a tote and we had to cram all our purchases into the bag. The staff were also rude and dismissive. on the tills. I feel the £6 tote is a ploy to get the unassuming tourist to spend more as it’s mainly tourists who purchase from the gift store. We were going to visit the food hall for the bakery but instead left and went to Fortnam and Mason. That store was welcoming, the staff were helpful and very pleasant. The experience far exceeded Harrods and where I will be visiting instead next time I am in London.

Where is the beautiful Harrods of years ago. Unhelpful staff, no pleasantries , just couldn't be bothered . Security officers were far more helpful than the staff paid to be so. We finished our shopping however never again

We had a very nice experience shopping for tea , Minhil gave us a brief description to the large variety of tea and helped us understand the different types and brands, it was fun and informative and it did help us pick the tea we really like and could also take some to family and friends back home with a fun story
Would recommend checking out the tea shop
The coffee shop was also interesting , another good option to check out for personal shopping and also as a good easy to carry gift option
we got excellent instant coffee with the help of the friendly person in charge too,

This is a review of my experience at Drybar in Harrods.

Having booked a blowout over a week in advance, I was eagerly anticipating my appointment at drybar, having traveled from New York to London. Upon arrival, just nine minutes late, I was met with an unwelcoming and dismissive receptionist. When I asked to use the bathroom before my appointment, she gestured vaguely in a general direction.

As I waited for my stylist, the receptionist informed me that they could no longer accommodate me. She brusquely said, "if you hadn't been 10 minutes late" they would have been able to, but now they were fully booked. Frustrated, I asked about their grace period, and she replied that it was 10 minutes!!

Adding to the frustration, the Drybar location in Harrods is quite hidden, with minimal signage. The receptionist suggested I search for other salons in the area, which was unhelpful. When I asked for a recommendation, she directed me to a salon that was closed that day.

To top it off, I later received an email charging me 50% of the appointment fee.

Needless to say, this experience was profoundly disappointing, and I will not be returning, which is too bad.

We made a special trip to the food hall as we specifically wanted to buy some produce and sample/buy some caviar. There was a specific type I had my eye on. I’m a shy person so we approached the counter and the lady on the counter was telling people about the caviar and sampling it herself. She made it look as if she wanted to let us try it then shovelled it in her own mouth. People walked away. I enquired about the one I wanted to try (I used to live in Russia so I know my caviar) and she told us all about it, I had demonstrated I already knew and she, again, sampled it for herself. She didn’t listen to me and had obviously dismissed me as not going to buy anything. We left empty handed. A horrible experience. She must eat £££ of stock a day if this was typical. Needs addressing.

Any (tourist) in Knightsbridge needs to stop at Harrods for the shopping tote, at a minimum.
Great shopping, delicious food court. Reminiscent of Printemps, Galleries Lafayette and Bergdorf Goodman. Fashion mavens will not be disappointed.

First trip to Harrods. What a store!! My husband, son and I spent 3 hours just simply browsing. My husband bought a suit that needed tailoring. It will be ready in about 48 hours. In addition, we purchased a cheese board and bottle of Port wine. Each floor of the store was enchanting. There are several restaurants and a gourmet food store. Harrods is a must see!!

Just went for a look around. Such a big and beautiful shop. So much nice clothes to look at. Feel like it goes on and on. Some of the restaurants looked lovely but didn’t have the time for a meal.
Friendly staff which were very friendly. In these sort of high end clothing places sometimes staff can be a bit snooty which can put you off looking/purchasing. Didn’t feel that here at all. Felt very happy looking around which is always nice, and actually meant I found something I liked and bought.
Obviously this is a famous landmark people will visit regardless. Still have to recommend though, even if just for window shopping.

Could do with more men’s jewellery- least I couldn’t find that much. I was looking for a new ring but probably only saw about 10-20 dotted all over
