I have walked across this bridge many times and finally had a look inside. One word sums it up “Brilliant “
One of London’s hidden gems and a must. Friendly knowledgeable staff and wonderful views, a must see.
A great place to wander past or across on a stroll while around the tower of London. The bridge itself is stunning and steeped in history. Surrounded by small cafes and chic restaurants, a great part of London to visit
You don't need to pay anything to have a fantastic experience. Walk over the bridge stopping halfway to admire the view of the Thames and riverside architecture. Take a walk along the south side of the embankment towards central London and have another great photo-opportunity...More
As a parisien I feel privileged to know more than the average londoner on these details; the masonry is just a facade and prostitutes used to haunt the walkway above the bridge. Very interesting tour. Go!
Excellent for price. Short video about the bridge followed by a walk through it and entrance to engine rooms. Can take as much or as little as you want from it. Lots of history and the science behind the workings.
Bought a combined ticket for...More

We were able to take the lift up and down to the walkways, so we totally avoided the stairs. Walking across each of the two walkways is not that far, and you can take your time. It is well worth the walk. The visit to the pump room does require more walking, but that is something you can choose to skip if you are too tired or unable to finish the tour. Since it is a self-guided tour, taking your time and using the lift should make everything accessible for you. Just ask when you are getting tickets about the lift and they will show you the way.
