Saw Paddington 2 for the Amazon Prime Day. Great location just by the canal. Would like to come back and see something live as the venue is great.

We went to King’s Place to see two of our favourite singer/songwriters. It’s a great venue, just a few minutes’ walk from King’s Cross/St. Pancras, and located next to the canal, so pre-show drinks outside were very pleasant. The acoustics in the concert hall were excellent. We would happily return.

King’s Place is an arts complex within office buildings. Although primarily a venue for concerts in its two halls two floors below ground, they also play host to lectures, poetry readings, literary festivals and political events and much else besides. So far as classical music is concerned the halls are ideal for chamber music but can accommodate a small orchestra too. The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment are resident and have their offices here. Over the past few years it has increasingly featured extended festivals such as Beethoven’s piano music or the Bach weekend during which I attended a concert of flute sonatas, a fugue for violin and harpsichord, solo cello and instrumental music. But I was equally tempted by the orchestral concerts, for example, the complete Brandenburgs preceded by a lecture. An opportunity to visit the current art exhibition on the lower two floors, works from the Ruth Borchard collection of mainly but not exclusively self-portraits. The Pangolin Gallery on the ground floor specialising in sculpture was closed as it was a Sunday but there are still sculptures on view in the public spaces both inside and out. Oh and there is also catering including a cafe serving pizza and the more formal self-contained Rotunda restaurant.

A trip to London from the South Coast, primarily to listen to a Concert with VOCES8 and Rachel Podger. Arrived in good time so visited their restaurant, Not cheap but so very nice. Kings Place, built ten years ago has a Concert Hall, several smaller halls over a number of levels. Backs onto the Regent Canal for a nice outside veranda. The concert was superb. Acoustics superb. All very new and top spec. Lots of staff around to assist you to make your visit great. Lots of places to sit, free Wi-Fi Lounge seats, cafe, nice eats and drinks at various places.

I come here regularly for amazing concerts from classical to jazz and modern. But the venue offers much more. There are all sorts of events, readings, debates, specific themes, for instance at the moment they have Jewish Book Week. The concerts also highlight themes over a year, it could be a composer or an instrument or a style. The space is beautiful, open, light and airy. There are cafés and a restaurant, although that one is quite pricey. They have various art exhibitions on the walls. Even if you are not attending an event it is worth a visit if you have a moment to spare between trains at Kings Cross. In the summer the location is beautiful with views out onto the canal. One of my favourite London venues.

Canal side location and there are plenty of inside and outside restaurants, cafes, meetings rooms, rather surprised at how well organised and appointed it is as had never heard of it! Great location very close to Pancras Square and Kings Cross.

Had just returned to London after a long train journey with two hours to kill before an evening engagement. A friend had recommended visiting Kings Place so I thought I’d try the Green & Fortune cafe.
I ordered a reasonably priced pizza and a coffee from the unpleasant staff (all fake impatience and ‘I’m too good for this job’ attitude).
The pizza was adequate for the price but the coffee was filthy. It was so bitter (as bitter as my mood by then) and seemed like it had stood for so long that it was almost fermenting - it definitely had a fungal quality.
The whole experience annoyed me so much that I gave up on my night out. If anyone wants an excuse to hate London - just head to Green & Fortune cafe.

Extraordinary arts centre with extensive programme of events. Excellent building on the old Kings Cross site. Great deal of space with lower ground floor gallery and two halls. Also snacks and light meals available from an extremely good menu.

Lovely modern, tailor made building, conveniently close to St Pancras and Kings Cross stations and Regents Canal. We attended an afternoon concert as part of the London Piano Festival and while there have booked ahead for a Sunday morning event. There seems to be a constant and diverse catalogue of events to suit most tastes.
